Welcome to Class 7.
We are a Primary Resourced Provision for pupils with Complex Learning Needs. What this means in practice is that we are a small class, with eight pupils and four adults, providing a very high level of support. The curriculum is planned to meet the needs of each individual child, whatever their starting point, and we are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to enjoy all the fantastic experiences that life at our school has to offer.
Our focus each day is on the core skills of reading, writing and mathematics, but we always approach this creatively, bringing learning alive and fostering a nurturing, caring environment. Every pupil reads with an adult at least twice a week, and we value our strong links with parents and carers.
In English, our focus for the summer term is the text 'The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe' by C.S Lewis.. We will be looking at, and writing our own, poetry, fiction and non-fiction based on this text. We will be using our amazing school environment to support our description of the forest setting, and will be creating our own creatures.
In Maths, we will be looking at position, direction and measurement. These concepts will be explored practically whenever possible. We will be weighing objects, measuring length and describing turns and the position of objects.
We are once again looking forward to working with Mr Moss on the allotment, and to spending time learning using our fantastic outdoor environment.

As always, many thanks for your continued support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
